It's the time of the year, Halloween! Everyone's getting ready to dress up as their favourite character.
But while you’re picking out your costume, fast fashion retailers like SHEIN and Temu are seeing major sales spikes. Costumes can be spookily cheap, with SHEIN being the best bargain among the top 50 costume retailers, averaging for $7.6 per costume.
Although the benefits of fast fashion platforms, such as quick shipping, keeping up with trends, and affordable prices, can be tempting, the impact of fast fashion is scarier than ever.

While fast fashion can be tempting, it is necessary to be aware of its impact
Overconsumption - Halloween costumes often worn once and discarded and lead to high volumes of textile waste
Exploitation of labor - many fast fashion workers face unfair wages and unsafe conditions.
